Who’s this program for?
Pre-Basic Spanish I (PBS-I) is the most basic level & will walk you through Spanish grammar, phonetics & vocabulary in English.
PBS is designed for students who prefer understanding grammar before enrolling in any of our all-immersion programs: Prime Time Spanish and Early Bird Spanish.
Our Pre-Basic Spanish courses are for complete beginners & who never had any exposure to the Spanish language.

Learning Objectives
- Greetings, introductions, and essential emotions in Spanish.
- Phonetics and spelling in Spanish through practice.
- Understanding Spanish verb structures and types.
- Learning basic arithmetic and expressing preferences in Spanish.
Lesson 1:
- Basic greetings: Saludos básicos & ¿Cómo estás tú?
- Self-intro: name, origin, work, nationality, residence, languages, countries.
- Interrogative Pronouns.
- Syllables: Sa-Se-Si-So-Su / Ca-Ce-Ci-Co-Cu
Lesson 2:
- ABC & intro to Spanish phonetics.
- Vowels and consonants: differences in English and Spanish.
- Syllables: Ta-Te-Ti-To-Tu / Da-De-Di-Do-Du
- Spelling exercises in Spanish.
Lesson 3:
- Numbers from 1 to 20 basic math operations.
- Intro to the concept of verbs, nouns & pronouns.
- Dialogue using subject pronouns & Interrogative pronouns.
- Syllables: Ba-Be-Be-Bo-Bu/ Pa-Pe-Pi-Po-Pu
Lesson 4:
- Infinitive verb vs. conjugated verb.
- Intro to Verbs Categories in Spanish: -ar, -er, -ir.
- Verbs Conjugations in singular: Verbs ending in -ar.
Lesson 5:
- Using me gusta with nouns and verbs.
- The tenths & Basic math operations.
- Syllables: Ña-Ñe-Ñi-Ño-Ñu
Group Class Size Policy:
- Two students minimum per group are required to have the full 5-hour program.
- One student, the same fee, 5 sessions of 45 minutes.
